Bon Voyage — Privacy Policy
Bon Voyage ("the app") is a geography quiz game developed by Advait Mahashabde ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it's used. We built the app to work with as little data as possible.
Location
If you tap "Use my location" on the start screen, the app requests approximate (coarse) location access via Android's location permission and Google Play Services. That location is used on-device only, to find the nearest city in the app's built-in city list so your game can start there.
- Location is never stored by the app, on-device or otherwise.
- Location is never transmitted to us or to any server we operate.
- Location is never shared with third parties, other than Google Play Services acting as the on-device location provider (governed by Google's Privacy Policy).
Using your location is entirely optional — you can always search for or pick a starting city manually instead.
What we don't collect
- No account or sign-in is required, and we don't collect names, emails, or other personal identifiers.
- No gameplay data, scores, or usage analytics are collected or transmitted.
- No advertising identifiers or ad networks are used.
- No data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Internet access
The app requests standard internet access for normal Android and Google Play Services functionality (such as resolving your location). It does not communicate with any backend operated by us.
Children's privacy
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since no personal data is collected or stored, there is nothing to request the deletion of.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds analytics or crash reporting — we'll update this page and revise the effective date above.
